TONY PERRIN
Lock and Key,
Founder & Designer
www.lockandkeydesign.com
Tony Perrin was "Destined to travel a creative path" – the son of a photographer and an artist – he started his professional dance career at the age of 9 in Los Angeles, sewing his own costumes and designing and building his own sets. He went on to study at the Pennsylvania Ballet in Philadelphia, where outside of attending class, he learned the art of bead weaving from his mentor and dear friend Frank "Frankie" Perez. The skills and history that Tony learned through Frankie, led him to where he is today, as Founder and Designer of Lock and Key, a precious metal jewelry company based in Nashville Tennessee focused on connecting the past with the present.

Tony started building Lock and Key in 2014 and since then, has purposefully integrated his previous creative inspirations into each piece he makes. Being an amateur history buff, Tony has named many of his designs after “bad-ass women ahead of their time", incorporating elements of fashion, history, and bold authenticity into each design. Although bold might dissuade some buyers, Tony said, "American Handcrafted is a show where my products don't need much explanation or education because it is part of the buyer's lexicon and the type of product they're always looking for." Come connect with Lock and Key at the 2023 American Handcrafted show!

VICKIE & JEFF COTTON
Blue Moon by the Sea,
Owners
www.facebook.com/BlueMoonbytheSea
Blue Moon by the Sea is a curated collection of unique handmade and feel good treasures guaranteed to keep you smiling. Vickie and Jeff Cotton opened their first Blue Moon in a major mall in CT in 1988. Blue Moon started as a handcrafted soaps and body care store, carrying soap products from over 50 US handcrafters. As we've grown the business every year, we've added US handcrafts in other mediums, such as blown glassware, pottery, and jewelry.

It's our personal passion to meet artists and seek out crafters to add to our fantastic collective of American craftsmen. We always spend a large part of our "vacations" shopping at craft shows, visiting other craft retailers, and discovering local crafters. It's always exciting to find beautiful new works, especially those that we can bring into our shop.Supporting artists from all over the US is a driving force in our business. It is so rewarding to know that with each hand-blown bowl, with each piece of jewelry, that we sell, we are supporting American craftsman and encouraging more American made products to be made.
Philly Staff Favorites
Our Sales Manager, Nanette Asbury, shares her favorites in Philly! A longtime favorite place in which Nanette likes to eat each Philly visit (for the last 25+ years!) is Vietnam Restaurant. This little place was just a hole in the wall in the early 90’s, and is family owned. Grandma used to sit in the back folding silverware into napkins. It has grown and now has a comfortable contemporary atmosphere, and the food is out of this world.

Nanette’s favorite activity in the morning in Philly is to get out and see architecture while running, and the route to the Rocky Stairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art is within reasonable distance. The climb isn’t bad, and you can take a photo op next to the Rocky statue for proof that you were there. Who wants to join Nanette early morning during setup for a run?
